To be Christian, is to experience the love and presence of God day after day. It is to experience a deep relationship with God as our Father. The great challenge in our lives as Christians is to discover this close relationship with our Father and to be able to put into practice our real desire to live every moment and occasion of our lives with Him, Him in us and us in Him. To live in His presence, His tenderness and in the deep love of which the Word speaks.
To be Christian, is also to have healthy relationships with others. But the wounds, strikes against our hearts, rejections, sins, unfair treatment, etc., which we experience have influenced the way we understand and perceive love. Throughout our entire lives we have had to build defense systems just in order to subsist, sometimes going so far as to construct veritable walls of protection around our hearts, walls that distort our relationship with God and with others. But yet, just as He did in the garden of Eden, God strolls through the gardens of our lives asking us the same question he originally posed to Adam and Eve: "Where are you?".
